Dirty, greasy kitchen extraction systems can pose a serious fire hazard – filters simply cannot eliminate all the vaporised grease that commercial cooking causes. These greasy residues then condense and build up on the canopy plenum, duct and fan surfaces. A dirty supply or extract system particularly a Kitchen Extract is a definite fire or dust explosion risk.

Both Health and Safety at Work Regulations as well as Fire Regulations dictate that a risk assessment of the grease build up within the extraction system must be carried out by those responsible for the workplace, with the results acted upon to ensure that any risk of FIRE or to health is eliminated or in the very least minimized.

Our high level clean involves walls, ceilings, light fittings, fixtures and fittings over 5 feet from floor level. The walls and ceiling are treated with chemicals to remove grease deposits as even though an extract system removes most grease and smoke caused from cooking, grease will still build up over time and stick to the ceiling and walls attracting flies and vermin.

It is important to get a low level clean regularly as day to day cleaning can miss food and other objects that have dropped and fallen under cooking equipment, work tops and sinks which will attract flies and other vermin whilst encouraging the growth of bacteria, which could in severe cases cause outbreaks of food poisoning.

No matter how thorough daily, weekly or monthly cleaning schedules are, over a period of time a build up of grease, soil deposits and debris will build up, which require specialist cleaning and this is where we can help.

Our Kitchen Deep Cleaning involves all cooking equipment and preparation areas. All cooking equipment is dismantled by hand and soaked in a chemical tank if needed to remove heavy build up of grease and carbon deposits and to allow hard standing solid structures to be fully deep cleaned.
